The joy of Christmas transformed into music.
For 28 years, the joy of Christmas has been transformed into music.
The Christmas Concert was born in 1993 at the Paul VI Hall in the Vatican, as a tool to promote Rome’s Vicariate project “50 churches for Rome 2000”, and to raise resources for its realization.
Since then, it has gathered great internationally renowned artists every year for a unique celebration of the most loved and spiritual holiday in the world.
A traditional “not to be missed” TV appointment, broadcast on Canale 5 on Christmas Eve from the Paul VI Hall in the Vatican.
Each year the concert is combined with one or more charity projects.
In 2017, the concert celebrated its 25th edition by returning to the Vatican, in the Paul VI Hall, and was broadcast by Mediaset Canale 5.
The 27th edition took place in the Vatican on the 14th of December 2019, and was broadcast, as usual, by Canale 5 on Christmas Eve.
The next edition will be held on the 12th of December 2020 in Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome, and will be broadcasted, as usual, by Canale 5 on Christmas Eve.
The 2020 edition
Great international pop, rock, soul, gospel and opera voices will be performing at the Paul VI Hall, in the Vatican, to celebrate together the recurrence of Christmas in a concert that presents the most classic and the most vivid reasons of the occasion.
As every year, the event will be accompanied by solidarity projects proposed by the two sponsoring foundations: Fondazione Scholas Occurrentes and Missioni Don Bosco (the projects will be announced shortly).
Give yourself a gift this Christmas!
