2018 – Let’S Network With Education In Uganda And Iraq

Let’s network with education in the refugee camps of Uganda and Iraq.

Palabek was born in Uganda in 2017, a refugee camp where 40,000 South Sudanese refugees, who fled the war, are hosted today. There are many needs, but the Salesians chose to focus in particular on education and on an educational path for children, and to invest in professional training for youth.

In Erbil, in Iraqi Kurdistan, 130 thousand Christians took refuge to escape ISIS. They live in precarious conditions and in complete dependence on humanitarian aid that comes from abroad. The Scholas Occurrentes foundation intends to promote the application of its educational programs to children and young adults present in that camp.
